this site exists to be an archive of both lisa cuddy content across the web as well as for my own musings about her (and by extension, house md as a whole.)

i am incredibly interested in cuddy as a character and think about her a lot. i wanted to have a place to put my thoughts + feelings + archives and such unconnected from any social media, and making a site seemed like the best course of action!

this site will probably always be unfinished due to the nature of neocities sites and my waxing and waning interest in coding, but i hope to have it be less of a clear work in progress and more of a working project soon.

as of right now (11/27/2025) this is the only page that exists, but i hope to add all of the pages noted on the sidebar soon, and they’ll have a little blurb about each on this page once they’re added.

dr lisa cuddy is a main character in the tv show house md. she is notably the female lead and love interest of protagonist gregory house for a majority of the show.

cuddy is the dean of medicine and chief administrator of princeton-plainsboro teaching hospital. she is characterized as the ‘only boss who can handle house’ due to house’s previous record of being fired from every hospital he had worked at prior.

cuddy is very intelligent, having graduated medical school at the age of 25 and becoming vice president administrator at ppth by the age of 29, and dean of medicine soon thereafter. she was the second youngest and first woman to hold the position.

cuddy’s main storyline in the show is about motherhood. she has a notable plotline about trying for a child alone through in-vitro fertilization in seasons two and three; she finally adopts her daughter, rachel, in the fifth season of the show.

cuddy plays the role of strong, independent, boss woman very well, but she is also incredibly compassionate; she has a notable soft spot for children and young women especially. cuddy is incredibly blunt and is unafraid to say what she thinks, but also knows (unlike house) when saying what she thinks is a bad idea.

cuddy is, in general, a very private and secretive person; she rarely lets the viewer, let alone other characters, get insight into her personal life, which makes her all the more interesting to try to analyze.
